Introducing “All God’s Children” - GCORR’s New Course On Recognizing The Gift Of Cultural Differences In Ministry Settings

This six-module course, led by Rev. Enger Muteteke, GCORR Senior Director of Programs and Education, explores how to recognize the gift of cultural differences in ministry settings and how colorblindness is not a benign framework.

Through videos, reflection opportunities, quizzes, other learning activities, and additional resources to support ongoing learning after the course, three key messages will be reinforced through this course:

  • Color blindness is not a benign framework, but one that is harmful to black, indigenous, people of color rendering them invisible.

  • Seeing color and culture is vital to seeing the whole person and humanizing them.

  • Accepting our own cultural identity helps us recognize and accept cultural differences as gifts.
