General Secretary's Statement on the Election of Pope Leo XIV

“Today, we join our Roman Catholic siblings in prayer for the leadership of their new Shepherd, Pope Leo XIV. Over the past days, I have held the cardinals in prayer, asking that the Holy Spirit guide them in this sacred responsibility. As Pope Leo XIV steps into this role, may he be embraced by God’s wisdom and strength as he carries the hopes and burdens of the people. May we continue to walk alongside all who labor for the common good of God’s creation. Let us keep putting our faith into action.”
