This Labor Day, as we honor and celebrate the work of millions of people across the United States, let’s honor and celebrate their inherent worth as well. Exercise a Labor of Love on this special weekend, and Drop the I-Word. Why? Because the I-Word is simplistic, racially charged, inaccurate, and is designed to harm. If you know a word is designed to hurt, why use it? When you choose not to use the word ‘illegal’, you celebrate the value and dignity of all people.
