Remembering Brown v. Board of Education

The U.S. Supreme Court issued its ruling in Brown vs. Board of Education on May 17, 1954. The landmark decision said that racially segregated public schools were inherently unequal. Attorney Thurgood Marshall worked on the Brown case with a team of attorneys. Marshall would later become the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States.
