CORR leaders learn, share, connect in historic gathering
GCORR gathered more than 45 conference leaders of Religion and Race together in March for in-depth training on their roles, responsibilities and challenges, plus resources and chances to network and learn from each other. The three-day event coincided with GCORR's spring board meeting in the same location, allowing helpful dialogue and networking between the two groups. CORR leaders urged to lobby for immigration reform
GCORR is asking conference commissions on Religion and Race and equivalent groups to join and promote the “Neighbor-to-Neighbor” campaign by forming teams to lobby members of Congress for comprehensive immigration reform while they are home for their Easter recess in early April. The appeal comes as President Barack Obama promises efforts to get an immigration reform bill passed this year. GCORR seeks conversation, community via social media

It’s about making friends and opening up the dialogue, even beyond our church, so that all can participate.
